Between 1919 and 1921, the F.F. Wood Motor Company poured vast resources into designing and building the largest and most technologically advanced automobile showroom in West Michigan. Upon its opening, the The Grand Rapids Herald described the building as a “virtual temple dedicated to motordom's most popular car,” the Ford.

When this was written, our building stood out as a surreal modern structure in the blossoming Grand Rapids landscape. And today, when you drive past it, you'll clearly feel this presence. Transformed from its original purpose, our temple currently excels as sophisticated housing, combining history with the cutting edge of urban revitalization.

We are now known as The Lofts Apartments.

• When we process your application, we verify your annual income. Persons who qualify have an annual income below the median income of Grand Rapids.

• If two or more persons apply for an apartment, we combine their annual income.

• At the time of application, the combined annual income of applicants musn't exceed the maximums listed below.

• After applicants qualify for an apartment, there are no restrictions on their future income.

We have apartments for persons who make 49% or 60% of the median income in Grand Rapids.

These numbers are determined by MSHDA.
